Introduction
Uplink exists to help ambitious students move toward university with greater clarity, confidence, and access to real experience. That support should always feel encouraging, respectful, and safe. These Terms of Use explain the standards that protect every Uplink Student, Uplink Guide, and family participating in the program.
Participant Safety is Highly Important to Us
Student safety is built into how Uplink operates. Conversations must remain focused on guidance, take place through approved channels, and follow clear boundaries around privacy, communication, recording, and personal relationships. Students under 18 must have the appropriate parent or guardian consent, and any safety or conduct concern may be reviewed and addressed by Uplink.
Community Conduct
Uplink Students remain in control of their own choices, goals, and next steps. Uplink Guides share experience and perspective, but they do not replace professional, academic, medical, legal, financial, or crisis services. Uplink may change a match, limit communication, pause participation, or end access when necessary to protect a student, a Guide, or the wider Uplink community.

Transparency is one of the foundations of safety. That is why Uplink intentionally makes its policies available to everyone- not only participants. Clear expectations, boundaries, and responsibilities help students, volunteers, families, and the wider community understand how Uplink operates and the standards we hold ourselves to.
